Evansville’s Signature School to host open house to recruit students for 2020-2021 academic year

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Signature School will host an open house on Nov. 4 for local eighth grade and high school students interested in attending the charter high school next year.

The program will begin with an hour-long general meeting in Victory Theatre, where parents and students from over 30 area middle schools are expected to be present.

Signature School students and faculty will greet families, answer questions and touch on student expectations.

Signature School executive director Jean Hitchcock said the program will help parents and students get a feel for the school outside its academics.

“We want them to see the passion that’s here,” Hitchcock said. “Of course, academics is first, but people are very passionate about being here.”

The general meeting will then be followed by a tour of the facility until the open house ends at 7:30 p.m.

Open applications for student enrollment begins Nov. 5 at 7 a.m. and closes on Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.

For additional information on enrollment and programming, parents may contact the school at 812-421-1820 or go to the website at signature.edu.
